Tate Modern Switch House by Herzog & de Meuron opens to the public

The 64.5-metre-high tower creates 60 per cent more exhibition space for the London gallery, which has become one of the city's most important cultural attractions since it opened in 2000.

Called the Switch House, it features an exterior of latticed brickwork and folded surfaces, while its interior includes an assortment of overground and underground galleries, as well as a new roof terrace offering panoramic views of the city.

 

MALIN+GOETZ, store is shortlisted at the darc lighting awards...

The lighting design of the MALIN+ GOETZ Monmouth Street boutique store reached the final 20 projects shortlisted for the darc architectural lighting awards, under places low budget category. Now it’s up to the lighting designers around the world to cast their vote. The results will be announced on the 15th of September during the darc lighting awards event in London.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

40 Under 40: The Next Generation of Lighting Design Talent

Vasiliki Malakasi is nominated by Lighting Magazine as being amongst the top 40 lighting designers under the age of 40.The list, which was unveiled at the opening of the 2016 Lighting Design Awards, reveals the next generation of talent and includes lighting designers from over 20 countries. A full article will feature in next month's Lighting Magazine issue.
